Martin Marietta’s Medina County quarry will be located between D’Hanis and Hondo, seven miles north of U.S. Highway 90.  We have signed an agreement with local landowners for a long-term lease to mine limestone on approximately 1,200 acres.

Martin Marietta also has purchased land to build a rail spur that will link the quarry to the existing rail line at Highway 90.  All of the land was purchased from willing sellers; no private property will be condemned.
